Fiber.  We all need it, and it’s not always easy to get.  People with diabetes especially should consume at least 25 g of total dietary fiber per day.  If you are someone who has ever tried to get in 25 g of fiber in one day, you know it is not the easiest thing to do!

Coming soon… I am going to challenge myself to consume 25 g of fiber per day for 25 days in a row.  I will share with you in upcoming posts, what foods I eat on a daily basis that contains fiber in them.  At the end of all of it, you will have 25 days worth of great healthy food ideas on how to get your daily fiber!  And me, well I will probably have an extremely regular digestive system and hopefully better blood sugar control.  Fiber helps to better manage the digestion and absorption of our food, and in turn can help to significantly reduce post-meal BG spikes.  I will explain more coming up!!
